Dear Valued Customers,

Please see below the latest COVID-19 update with regards to flight cancellations, restrictions as well as schedule changes.

Please note that mainly all carriers has confirmed that the schedules as well as the rates are changing by the hour, we have also received notification from a few carriers who will be terminating their services into South Africa until further notice.

***Please note that the current published rates for the month of March’20 are not valid, as well as all quotes done before 16th March’2020. All rates are strictly on request basis due to all rates being upsold from the carriers and our standing Contract as well as Market rates are null and void***

********Please take note the following carriers has suspended their flights to/from South Africa********

Qantas

  • All scheduled Qantas and Jetstar international flights will be suspended from 28 March until at least end May 2020.

Egyptair

  • Effective 19 March – 31 March, all international flights to and from Egyptian Airports are suspended – excluding all cargo flights.

Swiss

  • LX288/289: JNB will be served 5 times weekly until 23 March 2020
  • JNB will be suspended from 24 March – 19 April 2020

Rwandair

  • RwandAir to suspend all commercial flights in and out of Rwanda effective the 20th March 2020 for the next 30 days.
  • All WB flights will be suspended across the network during this period.

Air China

  • All flights cancelled from 25 March 2020 to 2 May 2020 from JNB.

Virgin

  • Suspending services between LHR and JNB from 26th March until further notice.

Air Austral

  • All flights ex-JNB cancelled from 23 March 2020

Delta

  • Effective 23rd March 2020, all JNB-ATL flight will be suspended until further notice.

TAAG

  • All flights to Angola will be suspended as of 19TH March 2020, the Angolan Government will be closing airspace and boarders as 00H00 on the 20th March’2020 until further notice.
  • Could have a freighter possibly ex-JNB to LAD as final destination, will keep you updated.

Turkish

  • JNB/DUR/CPT PAX Flights are cancelled from 23 March to 16 April’2020.
  • JNB Freighter on a day 7 are still operational but limited capacity available.
  • Blocked space availability to certain destinations, very limited space with rates on request.

Air Mauritius

  • MK has suspended all flights ex JNB/DUR and CPT effective 23 March’2020.

Fedex

  • All flights suspended ex JNB with immediate effect

SAA

  • Flight cancellations ex-JNB to all below destinations from 20 March – 01 April’2020:

    • HRE
    • FIH
    • LOS
    • LUN
    • LVI
    • WDH
    • MPM
    • EBB
    • LLW
    • NBO
    • DAR
  • All international flights cancelled with immediate effect

Kenya Airways

  • Last Pax flight out of JNB will be Wednesday 25th March
  • Freighter will still operate out of JHB (MP FREIGHTER ) and out of Nairobi to EBB, KGL, BGF, BJM, FBM, LUN, LLW, COO, JUB, DLA, BGF, FBM on capacity and DAR, FIH and KRT on request with KQ freighters.
  • Guangzhou, Bangkok, Rome, Geneva, Khartoum, Djibouti, Malindi, Mogadishu – CANX.
  • London, Dubai, Johannesburg and Kigali – all operational as normal
  • Pax flights into DRC cancelled, freighters still operating

Etihad

  • All PAX flights cancelled for two weeks with immediate effect.

Saudia

  • Passenger flights have been cancelled until the end of March, option to book with freighters ex-JNB with approval.

Cathay Pacific

  • Remainder flights on 24 + 28 March ex-JNB
  • All flights cancelled ex-JNB for April.
  • All flights cancelled ex-JNB for May.
