Dear Clients, the Durban Floods caused by heavy rains currently pummelling Durban have shut down all logistics operations, including the port. There is very little to zero movement both on the imports and exports overnight and with roads closures due to either bridges being washed away or heavy debris such as containers floating around. Normal operations should start resuming from tomorrow if the weather forecast of rain clearing up turns out correct. The infrastructure damage costs which should run into few hundred million rand is yet to be determined.
